About Me

Hi, my name is Chris. With over 18 years of financial services experience, I built this website as something of an expose on the world of personal finances. You see, I worked for some of the largest and most powerful institutions in the world; I existed to make them money, even though my bosses and the Management Notes that these companies publish on their websites, in their Sales Brochures, with their Annual Finance Reports and everywhere else suggest that my job was to provide you with the best financial advice out there.

I am not saying that you will get bad advice from your banker, investment advisor, and/or insurance agent or broker. These people have a fiduciary duty to provide you with advice, but let’s not forget who signs their paychecks. If they are not earning their keep by selling you things that you may or may not need, then they are out of a job. Period.

What I sincerely hope with this website is to provide you, your referred friends, family and colleagues is another source of information. Mine is completely unbiased. And you can use the information you find here to keep your banker, advisor, agent or broker honest. Bring it to their attention, let them know that you have done your homework and you have expert information available to you.

And if you are a Do-It-Yourselfer, rest assured that the information you will find here is of the highest quality. If there is something I cannot write about to the full extent of my knowledge, I will speak with someone I know and ask them to complete the piece.
